  • January 2012 - Legislature Update

    As we enter the new year, we can look back at 2011 with pride and a sense of accomplishment, and we can move forward into 2012 with great optimism.  Our province has remained strong in the global economic market throughout the ups and downs of the past year and we are on pace to be the national leader in growth.  In addition, the Alberta government is forecasting significant increases in employment levels throughout the province over the decade.  With such strong economic positioning, our province will continue to be the best place to live, work and raise  family.

BIOGRAPHY

Gene was elected to his fifth term as MLA for Edmonton-Mill Creek on March 3, 2008, and is currently a member of the Cabinet Policy Committee on Community Development, is co-chair of the Advisory Council on Alberta-Ukraine Relations, and a member of the Standing Committee on Privileges and Elections, Standing Orders and Printing.
